Celebrate World Vegan Month with Sustainable Gifts

World Vegan Month, celebrated throughout November, is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on all things vegan. As the vegan movement grows steadily, hundreds of thousands of people across the world are finding beauty in living as kindly and compassionately as possible.

With the holiday season upon us, it is also the perfect time to show our gratitude to those most important to us. This year, you might want to consider employee and customer gifts that are cruelty-free and support sustainable practices. And it just so happens, our engagement and gifting specialists have a few innovative and popular ideas.

Resilient, Versatile, and Eco-Friendly Gift Options

Plant-Powered Must Haves Gift Set

The bamboo tote is filled with our stylish Bento Box along with Classic Ground Veggie Honey BBQ Sloppy Joes, Greek Tzatziki Vegetable Dip, and Corn Cob Chipotle Parmesan Seasoning. Nearly 45% of people identify as flexitarians, or mostly vegetarians who occasionally eat meat. With the addition of just a few fresh ingredients, soy-based protein provides a satisfying meatless meal, ready in minutes.

Solar-Powered Dual USB Port Charger

A solar power bank is a great way to keep your devices charged up on the go. They look like mini solar panels and get their power from the sunlight, making them an eco-friendly way to recharge electronics. They can be a great solution for outdoor events or in an emergency when there is no power. Some solar power banks work in combination with mains power, and some are solely solar-powered, and they can offer an impressive amount of charging time. Not to mention, it offers three light modes: regular (constant light), strobe (quick flashing), and SOS (flashes in Morse code).

Looks and Feels Like Leather, But is Cruelty-Free

As more and more people grow aware of the leather industry’s effects on the environment and on animals, the market for cruelty-free alternatives keeps growing. Not only that, but so many brands are out there trying to make vegan leather as low-impact as possible by using plants to create leather-like fabrics.

Until recently, almost all vegan leather was made of plastic-based materials. But over the past few years, innovators have discovered many ways to make vegan leather out of everything from pineapples to cactus leaves to flowers. The vegan leather industry has come so far from the days of “good old pleather.”

It’s not without environmental concerns. However, there’s reasonable ground to state that the environmental impact of producing vegan leather is lower than real leather. Here are a couple of our “leathery” favorites.

Vegan Leather Toiletry Kit

Dopp Kits are crafted from premium crosshatch vegan leather, creating a luxury travel accessory designed to match your client’s brand. With the ability to print any full-color design on each side and a choice of 10 stock color zipper options, this versatile giveaway will be used again and again.

Vegan Leather Pouches

Plant-based faux leathers are costlier but are better, eco-friendly alternatives for genuine leather. The process of making real leather is not cruelty-free, and it endangers our ecosystem. Plant-based vegan leather has none of these demerits, and unlike plastic leathers, it is toxin-free. Plant-based faux leathers often make good quality vegan leather. These pouches are made from cross-hatch vegan leather with a nylon zipper and a nice metal pull.

About World Vegan Month

The Vegan Society founded World Vegan Day in 1994 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the UK Vegan Society (est. November 1944). The Vegan Society was born from The Vegetarian Society when Donald Watson, Elsie Shrigley, and friends recognized the importance of not consuming any products from animals.

The society designated World Vegan Day not only as a day of celebration but also as a day to educate friends, families, and strangers about the values of vegan living and to share vegan meals. This day, which later stretched into World Vegan Month, is positioned conveniently to coincide with the start of our traditionally meat-heavy holiday season. What better time to plan some outreach?
